Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Is Now Live, Will Test Cross-Play And Split-Screen Co-Op
Earlier this week Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Is Now Live, some Baldur players got early access to Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Is Now Live – the last major update for the game – ahead of a scheduled stress test. Now, Larian Studios has announced that Patch 8 stress testing is live, and will introduce several new features, including cross-play.
To familiarize players with how cross-play works, Larian has released the following video, which explains the steps needed to join friends playing on separate consoles or computers.
Before the release of Baldur on the Xbox Series X, Larian had to abandon the split-screen feature for the Xbox Series S.
Photo mode is another popular addition in Baldur’s Gate 3, along with 12 new subclasses for players to choose from. Larian said that some known bugs are still being addressed, so stress testing will be used to identify these issues before the official Patch 8 rollout begins for all players.
Once Larian completes his work on Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Is Now LiveBaldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Is Now Live, the studio’s full attention will be focused on his next project, codenamed Excalibur. All potential sequels to Baldur are being developed by other studios. Highlights from Patch 8 can be found below, but beware of some spoilers there.
